Airline 'Swiss' to use iOS devices in cockpit from 2016

Airline 'Swiss' is to make its Electronic Flight Bag (EFB) platform-neutral, paving the way for iOS devices to be used in its cockpits, according to macprime.ch, citing a spokeswoman. The change will come in 2016, it said. Swiss currently uses a Windows laptop to display navigation charts, calculate take-off and landing weight and for documents important to the pilot.
