Airtel Africa revenue grows 8.4% to USD 1.6bln in H1, customers up 10%

Airtel Africa said revenue increased by 8.4 percent to USD 1.64 billion in the first six months to 30 September from USD 1.51 billion in the same period in 2018. Revenue in voice, data and mobile money were up by 3.2 percent, 37.8 percent and 46.5 percent respectively. Pre-tax profit more than doubled, buoyed by a rise in customers.
