Airtel appoints Hegde as CEO of Sri Lanka operations

Bharti Airtel has appointed Jinesh Hegde as CEO and managing director of its Sri Lanka operations. Hegde replaces Suren Goonewardene, who will take over the position of non-executive chairman of Airtel Lanka. Prior to joining Airtel, Hegde was VP and business head of Indian operator Uninor, a subsidiary of Telenor Group. Before that, he was Chief Vertical Officer at Indian operator Tata Teleservices.
