Airtel enables BHIM UPI m-payments at 500,000 merchants

Airtel Payments Bank has announced it has enabled BHIM UPI-based payments at over 500,000 merchant points across India. The service allows customers to make digital payments for goods and services by using banks or payments apps enabled by local payment systems BHIM UPI on their mobile phones. Airtel Payments Bank plans to expand this payment service to at least 1 million offline merchants in the next few months.
