Airtel, FirstBank launch FirstMonie payment service

Airtel Nigeria has inked a partnership with First Bank Nigeria to offer Firstmonie Talkmore, a mobile payment service. The partnership was sealed with the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding for Firstmonie Talkmore to run on Airtel's platform. Subscribers on Airtel network who sign up to Firstmonie will be able to send and receive money, buy airtime, pay bills and carry out other forms of transactions on their mobile phones without operating a bank account. In addition, any subscriber who signs on to Firstmonie will receive NGN 100 e-value and will be eligible for NGN 240 bonus airtime.
