Airtel Nigeria loses appeal against NGN 5 bln judgement

Airtel Nigeria has lost an appeal against a NGN 4.9 billion judgment debt secured against it by telephony products and services distributor Plus, Vanguard reported. Plus had taken Airtel to Lagos High Court for its alleged refusal to pay commission for services it had rendered after the termination of their contract.  After years of legal battling, Justice O.A. Williams had ruled in favour of Plus and asked Airtel to pay it NGN 4.9 billion as the debt for the commission.
