Airtel Tanzania switch-off affects some genuine phones

Airtel Tanzania says it has complied with the directives by the Tanzania Communications Regulatory Authority (TCRA) to switch off fake phones. However, it understands that there are some customers who have purchased original phones from its shops and some of these phone models have been affected by this exercise. Anyone affected should visit one of its shops and register their numbers along with details of their phone model and date of purchase with a receipt for rectification. Airtel Tanzania apologised to affected customers.
