Airtel-Tigo rebrands as Airtel Rwanda, launches Mukazi Kose mobile money promotion

Airtel has acquired a twelve-year unified licence to operate as Airtel Rwanda, after operating as Airtel-Tigo since 2018, New Times reported. The deal meant a 100 per cent acquisition of Tigo Rwanda's equity. Amit Chawla, the Airtel Rwanda MD who announced the merger, said they have been tirelessly working to merge two big brands.
