Airtel TZ offers mHealth app with maternity, neo-natal info

Airtel Tanzania said it has been supporting the nationwide Wazazi Nipendeni (Healthy Pregnancy, Healthy Baby) SMS Service since its launch in 2012. It has sent over 22 million free texts offering vital and timely lifesaving information to over 350,000 Airtel subscribers in Tanzania. Airtel partners with the mHealth Tanzania Public Private Partnership for this service, led and owned by the Ministry of Health, Community Development, Gender, Elderly and Children (MoHCDGEC).
