AIS targets 1 mln fiber broadband subs in Q1 2018

Thai mobile operator Advanced Info Service (AIS) expects to reach one million subscribers to its fibre-optic broadband service in the first quarter of 2018. AIS' Fibre brand is forecast to reach 300,000 subscribers by end-2016, up from the current 200,000 users. The service was launched in April this year. AIS claims its Fibre brand now owns 2 percent of Thailand's broadband market, after True, Triple T Broadband and TOT, The Nation reports, citing Saran Phaloprakarn, SVP of AIS' fixed broadband business.
