Algar Telecom kicks off 5G trial in 3.5 GHz band

Brazilian regional operator Algar Telecom has begun 5G trials in Uberlandia in the state of Minas Gerais using the 3.5 GHz band, reports Teletime. The company received a licence from Anatel for use in tests and the network uses Huawei equipment. The public will be able to try out the network until 20 October, using the Huawei Mate 20X 5G smartphone.
