Algar Telecom Q2 revenue up 5% on growth in B2B market

Brazilian regional operator Algar Telecom reported total gross revenue of BRL 786 million in Q2 2021, up 4.7 percent year-on-year. Net revenue increased 5 percent to BRL 609.9 million, of which B2B generated BRL 383.4 million (+11.3%) and B2C contributed BRL 226.5 million (-4.1%). EBITDA dropped 10.3 percent year-on-year to BRL 254.7 million, for an EBITDA margin of 41.8 percent. Net profit in the period was up 18.1 percent to BRL 48.3 million (+18.1%), while capex reached BRL 137.4 million (+44.1%).
