Algeria set to release additional spectrum after internet disruptions

Algeria's mobile operators Djezzy, Mobilis and Ooredoo are set to receive additional spectrum to alleviate recent network disruptions, Ecofin reported. A meeting convened between the Minister of Post and Telecommunications, Brahim Boumzar, and senior executives of telecom companies resolved that the release of the spectrum will be done in coordination with the Regulatory Authority of Post and Electronic Communications (ARPCE).
