Alibaba acquires Daraz e-commerce site in southeast Asia

Chinese e-commerce company Alibaba has acquired the southeast Asia online commerce site Daraz from Rocket Internet for an undisclosed sum. Daraz operates in the markets of Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Myanmar and Nepal.
