AllTele stops retaining customer data, deletes old data

Friday 11 April 2014 | 11:52 CET | News
Swedish operator AllTele said it has ceased storing customer data immediately and is deleting retained data, after the European Court of Justice declared the EU Data Protection Directive invalid. Its announcement comes a day after Swedish postal and telecoms regulator PTS stated that it would take no action against operators who stopped storing customer data. AllTele said it is particular about customers' personal integrity and therefore welcomes the European court and PTS announcements.
