Alphabet gives new name to Life Sciences division

Google parent company Alphabet has renamed its Life Sciences division Verily, the New York Times reported, saying Alphabet made the branding announcement with a video and a new, Verily company website that went live on 7 December. The chief executive of Verily is Andy Conrad, a cell biologist. The Verily site explains the company's mission is to bring together technology and life sciences to uncover new truths about health and disease, bringing together advanced research tools, large scale computing power, and technical expertise.
