Altaba buys back USD 3.4 bln worth of shares

Altaba, formerly part of Yahoo, has announced the preliminary results of its modified "Dutch auction" self-tender offer to purchase up to USD 3.0 billion of shares. The offer closed just before midnight (NYC time) on 16 June, with a total of 64.6 million tendered at USD 53.20 per share. This brings the total cost to USD 3.4 billion and represents 6.7 percent of the company's issued and outstanding shares.
