Altaeros, Ericsson launch LTE base station in Maine using industrial blimps

Altaeros and Ericsson have launched a new tethered-aerial infrastructure to deliver high-speed broadband in hard-to-reach rural communities. Altaeros, a startup based in Boston, and Ericsson together deployed a multi-sector LTE base station on a new "SuperTower" concept in rural Maine, providing broadband speeds with streaming video.
