Altech begins building multimedia training centre in Gauteng

South Africa's Altech has begun construction of a multimedia training centre for disadvantaged students and community members in Alexandra, Gauteng. The facility will provide an education facility for the Alexandra community with particular emphasis on providing high school students with access to an IT centre and resource library. Altech, the NGO Blue Groove Africa, and the Alexandra Renewal Project, identified land adjacent to Minerva High School for the centre. This land was donated by the Johannesburg Property Company for use as a multimedia centre. More than 10 000 students will directly
