Altera announces 5G algorithm competition winners

Intel subsidiary Altera has announced the results of its 5G Algorithm Innovation Competition in China, backed by Xidian University, Terasic, Huawei, Intel and Spreadtrum. The competition attracted 184 teams from 76 universities. Participants were required to submit link-level simulations and logical implementations of three 5G air-interference key algorithms, Sparse Code Multiple Access (SCMA), Filtered OFDM (F-OFDM) and polar code, based on Altera FPGAs.
