Altice expects 5G delay in Portugal

Monday 2 September 2019 | 17:09 CET | News
Altice Portugal CEO Alexandre Fonseca believes that 5G will arrive in Portugal later than expected by the National Communications Authority (Anacom), despite the EU recommendations, reports Jornal Economico. Fonseca expressed concern over the consequences the delay will have on the Portuguese economy, adding that the date of the frequency auction is still not known. According to him, the country is already at a stage where it is seeking to "minimize the damage" from the aforementioned delay.
