Altice Portugal criticises regulator's silence on 5G

The president of Altice Portugal, Alexandre Fonseca, has criticised the "lack of strategic vision" and the "deafening silence" of the National Communications Authority (Anacom) on 5G, reports Lusa. He pointed out that the absence of a strategy, timetable and spectrum allocation mechanism means that Portugal is lagging behind in the deployment of 5G, recalling that in eleven months time, Portugal has ambitious targets to meet under EU directives.
