Monday 2 December 2019 | 12:38 CET | News

Altice Portugal will invest EUR 15 million in the Alto Minho region, which will enable the municipalities of Arcos de Valdevez, Melgaco and Ponte de Lima to get 75 percent fibre optic coverage. According to the operator, 4.9 million homes are already covered by optical fibre and it is less than 10 percent away from achieving the target of 5.3 million homes. In total, 27,000 locations, 308 municipalities, and more than 3 million km of fibre, will make Portugal the first country in Europe with practically full fibre coverage.
