Altice Q1 revenue drops 3.4% in Dominican Republic

Friday 16 May 2014 | 11:15 CET | News
Altice reported first-quarter revenue down 3.4 percent to EUR 147.5 million in the Dominican Republic, following the acquisition of Tricom and Orange's local unit in the Dominican Republic. This compares to a revenues of EUR 152.7 million in the first quarter of 2013. The revenue decline was mainly due to adverse currency movements which outweighed strong underlying growth, the company said. The Dominican Peso weakened over the last twelve months versus the Euro by 8.6 percent on average. Accordingly, at a constant exchange rate, total revenue increased by 5.7 percent.
