Altice says communications network rebuilt in areas affected by fires

Altice Portugal said that 100 percent of its communications network has been rebuilt and that all counties affected by the fires have more than 99.2 percent of their communications restored, reports Lusa. According to the company, more than 1,000 km of copper network were replaced by fibrw optics in more than 30 municipalities in the districts of Castelo Branco, Coimbra, Guarda, Viseu and Leiria. It added that most of these municipalities will have fibre coverage of more than 50 percent, allowing the population to have access to more and better telecommunications services and products.
