Altitude Infrastructure doubles Wimax speeds in rural areas

Rural broadband ISP Altitude Infrastructure has adapted its Wimax network for peak speeds of 4 Mbps, compared to 2 Mbps previously, in six counties (Aveyron, Calvados, Eure, Ile-et-Vilaine, Orne and Vendee) and the region of Bourgogne. Subscribers to broadband operators WiBox, Ozone, Alsatis and Viveole can benefit from the upgrade by requesting it of their ISP.There is no change in price or end-user equipment. Altitude is also launching a 10 Mbps trial in Meuse county to 10 Mbps. CEO David El Fassy said he wants consumers to avoid a new a digital divide in fast broadband.
