Altitude Infrastructure has won a contract to deploy a local authority-owned FttH network in the department of Alpes Maritimes, France. Degroup News reports that the contract awarded by local authority group Sictiam will see the company roll out fibre to 99 municipalities outside areas where operators are installing their own fibre networks. It is expected to pass 73,915 premises in the department over the next 15 years, with the first users to be connected by the end of the year. The project has an estimated cost of EUR 106 million.
