Altitude wins regional fibre networks contract

Monday 14 December 2015 | 15:44 CET | News
The high-speed broadband local authority for France's Provence-Alpes-Cote d'Azur (PACA) region has selected Altitude Infrastructure to build a network for the departments of Alpes de Haute-Provence and Hautes-Alpes. Altitude will build, operate and market the fibre network under a 15-year agreement. Some 215,505 premises are due to be passed by the network by 2030. The company will also have to offer a satellite solution to support remote premises that will not have a 2 Mbps service until 2020. The network is expected to involve an investment of over EUR 170 million.
