The Upper Regional Court of Cologne has overturned a clause in the terms and conditions of Amazon Europe which allowed the company to withhold services on the website, close customer accounts and edit or remote content if the customer breached these terms in any way. The ruling comes after many complaints from Amazon customers to the NRW central consumer office about the company closing their accounts or blocking access to them.
