Amazon gets US approval to set up fleet of drones for package deliveries

Amazon said it has received approval from the US Federal Aviation Administration to set up a fleet of drones for package deliveries in the US, the Wall Street Journal reported, adding that routine use is still "years away." The FAA still needs to complete rules for the remote identification of over 480,000 drones currently registered for commercial operations, and issue separate rules permitting drones to fly regularly over populated areas.
