Amazon Italia creates 2,000 new jobs in 2018

Amazon Italia has announced that it finally created some 2,000 new permanent jobs in Italy in 2018, increasing its workforce from 3,500 to 5,500. In a statement the company said it exceeded its annual job creation target by 300 after recruiting employees with all levels of experience, training and skills, from software developers and engineers to warehouse workers. Amazon added that it has invested over EUR 1.6 billion in Italy since 2010, including EUR 800 million in 2018 alone. Amazon Italia's new 17,500 square-metre Milan HQ will welcome 600 of the new permanent recruits.
