Amazon operating profit soars to USD 406 mln in Q3

Amazon said net revenues rose 23 percent year-on-year to USD 25.4 billion in the third quarter, including an USD 1.3 million worth of negative forex effects. The operating profit rose to USD 406 million from a loss the year before of 544 million. The net profit went higher to USD 79 million or USD 0.17 per diluted share, from a loss of 437 million or 0.95 per diluted share. For the fourth quarter, the company is guiding for net revenues up 14-235 percent to USD 33.50-36.75 billion. The operating profit is expected at USD 80-1.28 billion, from 591 million the year before.
