Amazon revenues jump 34% to USD 43.7 bln in Q3, boosted by Whole Foods

Amazon said revenues for its third quarter jumped 34 percent from the year before to USD 43.7 billion, passing guidance. Whole Foods Market, which Amazon acquired in August, contributed USD 1.3 billion to the results. Revenues were also boosted by favourable forex effects and organic growth of 29 percent, the same as the year before. Amazon own products and services did particularly well in the quarter, including the webservices of AWS, subscriptions such as Amazon Prime and the company's own hardware.
