Amazon seeks UK pay-TV streaming partners - report

Wednesday 13 April 2016 | 11:07 CET | News
Amazon is in talks with UK broadcasters to add their channel programmes and brands to the Prime Instant Video streaming service, reports The Telegraph. The talks are understood to be at an early stage, but it is hoped that owners of UK pay TV channels - such as UKTV, Disney, Discovery and Viacom - would offer these channels on-demand as an optional extra through Prime Instant Video. Amazon has also held preliminary talks with BT about possibly adding live sport to the streaming platform.
