Amazon to add 2,000 staff in Germany

Amazon plans to hire around 2,000 people full-time in Germany over the course of 2017, bringing its total headcount to over 16,500 for the country. The new positions will cover a range of qualifications, including engineers, software developers, job starters and trainees. Most of the new jobs are likely to be within newly opened logistics centres, as well as in Amazon offices and development centres, or in business fields like Amazon Marketplace, Kindle Publishing or Amazon Web Services. The jobs are part of a hiring push throughout Europe that will add 15,000 full-timers to the Amazon
