Amazon to create 500 more jobs in Barcelona

Amazon has announced plans to hire a further 800 workers at its Castellbisbal and Prat de Llobregat logistics plants on the outskirts of Barcelona. The new hirings are connected with the introduction of robotics technology and are in addition to the previously announced plans to increase its total Spanish workforce by 50 percent to 1,500 some five years after launching Amazon.es. Around 600 of the new positions will be based at the Prat de Llobregat plant due to open in October and 200 at the existing Castellbisbal centre, which will be the first in Spain to incorporate Amazon Robotics
