Amazon's Kindle Unlimited judged illegal in France

"Amazon must bring its Kindle Unlimited offer into compliance with French law," culture minister Fleur Pellerin told Le Figaro, based on a report from the book ombudsman ("mediatrice du livre"), Laurence Engel. Under French law, publishers set the sale price of their books, which cannot be done with a service offering unlimited access to over 20,000 titles for some EUR 7 a month.
