Ambit launches 4G services in Taiwan

Taiwanese telecoms operator Ambit Microsystems, a subsidiary of Foxconn Electronics, has commercially launched 4G mobile services, including VoLTE (voice over LTE), DigiTimes reports, citing a company statement. Customers can take up the operator's 4G services for a monthly fee of TWD 998 (approximately USD 32.6) for unlimited mobile data access, free intra-network VoLTE calls and SMS, free inter-network VoLTE calls up to 1,000 minutes per month. VoLTE calls to other networks are charged TWD 0.11 per second, while text messages to national numbers cost TWD 1.50 per SMS.
