America Movil Q1 results fall on negative forex effects, underlying service revenue up 2.5%

America Movil reported first-quarter revenues down 3.1 percent year-on-year to MXN 246 billion, and EBITDA dropped 5.6 percent to MXN 75 billion. Excluding negative currency effects, service revenues rose 2.5 percent and EBITDA was up 2.6 percent, led by growth in fixed broadband and mobile postpaid subscribers. The company's net profit increased 3.6 percent to MXN 1.2 billion.
