America Movil revenues down 2.6% in Mexico in Q1

Mexican mobile operator Telcel finished the first quarter with 73.5 million subscribers, following the addition of 203,000 postpaid subscribers and loss of 405,000 prepaid users in the quarter. Fixed-line operator Telmex had 21.7 million RGUs at the end of the period, up 0.6 percent from a year earlier. Fixed broadband clients rose by 4.2 percent year-on-year to 8.8 million. America Movil reported total Q1 revenues for Mexico down 2.6 percent from a year earlier to MXN 64.8 billion, with mobile revenues declining 3.3 percent and fixed-line revenues roughly flat. Service revenues were down 7.7
