America Movil sees Mexico EBITDA fall 24% in Q2

Mexican mobile operator Telcel lost 387,000 customers in the second quarter, after disconnecting 575,000 prepaid users and adding 188,000 postpaid customers. The total base rose by 0.7 percent year-on-year to 73.1 million, with a 10.4 percent in postpaid to 11.6 million. Sister company Telmex, also part of the America Movil group, gained 0.5 percent more revenue-generating units over the past year, to reach 21.7 million at the end of June.
