America Movil sets 2012 capex at nearly USD 9 bln

America Movil has set its capital expenditures for 2012 at USD 8.5 – USD 9 billion. Investments will mainly focus on America Movil' networks development and subscriber growth, Dow Jones reports, citing company CEO Daniel Hajj. The CEO expects America Movil to add around 14 million net mobile subscribers this year. America Movil ended 2011 with nearly 242 million mobile subscribers across Latin America, including 65.7 million in Mexico and 60.4 million in Brazil.
