America Movil should sell 4.3 mln fixed lines - Banamex

Mexican telecoms operator America Movil needs to sell 4.3 million fixed telephony lines in order to avoid further regulations by the government, according to a report by local bank Banamex. According to the financial institution, America Movil would also need to transfer nearly 21.4 million mobile lines in order to be no longer considered as the dominant operator. Banamex said that this potential transaction will enable America Movil to own 49.6 percent of the mobile market. According to previous reports, America Movil's assets may be acquired by US operator AT&T.
