American Tower to own over 11,500 towers in Brazil- CEO

American Tower Corporation (ATC) expects to have over 11,500 communications towers in the Brazilian market once the company complete the acquisition of Brazil's BR Towers, company CEO Jim Taiclet told a conference call with investors. Taiclet said that the acquisition is expected to be fully completed in the fourth quarter of the year. In June, American Tower Corporation agreed to fully acquire BR Towers for BRL 2.18 billion from private equity investors GP Investments, Bradesco BBI, and other shareholders.
