Anacom proposes changes to communications law

Monday 11 February 2019 | 11:07 CET | News
Portugal's Anacom said it has submitted to the National Assembly and the government a set of proposals to amend the Electronic Communications Law. It aims to simplify the rules, namely in terms of early termination of the contract at the initiative of the consumer. If the contract is terminated in the first half of the loyalty period consumers would have to pay the operator up to 20 percent of the remaining monthly fees, or up to 10 percent if it is terminated in the second half of the loyalty period.
