Anacom says recruitment constraints jeopardise its mission

The chairwoman of Portugal's National Communications Authority (Anacom) has admitted that the constraints in recruiting workers threaten the regulator's ability to continue to "fulfil its mission with excellence", reports Lusa. At a conference in Lisbon, Fatima Barros stated that Anacom has been faced with constraints for several years in terms of recruiting human resources. She added that freezing promotions and performance bonuses reduces the regulator's ability to motivate, retain and attract talent, and said it will be difficult actively to collaborate in the European association of
