Anacom stresses importance of nationwide expansion of fast internet

The president of Portugal's National Communications Authority (Anacom), Joao Cadete do Matos, has argued that the expansion of high-speed networks throughout the whole country, even the most isolated regions, is a priority. Speaking at the XXII ACIST conference in Lisbon, he pointed out that 72 percent of homes are now connected to high-speed networks, 90 percent of which have fibre.
