Analog Devices reports sequential improvement in Q3

Revenues for the quarter fell 2 percent from the year before to USD 1.456 billion but improved 11 percent from the second quarter's 1.317 billion. The gross margin was higher sequentially at 66.8 percent, though lower than the 67.4 percent shown the year earlier. The operating profit went to USD 419 million, lower than the 447 million in the year before, but higher than the Q2's 344 million. Diluted earnings per share were flat year-on-year at USD 0.97. Adjusted diluted EPS lifted to USD 1.36 from 1.26 the year before.
