Anatel approves AT&T acquisition of Warner Media

Brazil's National Telecommunications Agency (Anatel) approved the takeover of Warner Media by AT&T, reports O Estado de Sao Paulo. The case was analyzed by the regulator as the Law of Conditional Access Service forbids operators owning more than 30 percent of broadcasters, programmers and packagers of audiovisual content. However, Anatel found the restriction is limited to companies headquartered in Brazil.
