Anatel confident Oi will attract new investors

Foreign investors interested in acquiring Brazilian operator Oi told the president of the National Telecommunications Agency (Anatel), Juarez Quadros, that they could invest billions in the company going through bankruptcy proceedings, reports O Globo. According to Quadros, "some mentioned they could contribute BRL 8-10 billion" to the company. The regulator is confident of a market solution, that some group acquires control of the operator and deals with its debt. To increase the attractiveness of Oi, he added, Brazil will proceed with the approval of the new General Telecommunications Law,
